Amendment of Constitution Proposal
N.T. Heung Yee Kuk Yuen Long District Secondary School
N.T. Heung Yee Kuk Yuen Long District Secondary School Elite Students Sharing Session will be held on 5 December 2015. In mid-Nov 2015, invitation letters will be sent to all primary schools in the district. The schools will recommend P.6 students to join the event. Please contact your primary school for details.

Talk on undergraduate admissions of HKUIt was our pleasure to have invited Ms Emily Mak the representative from HKU admissions and academic liaison office to give a talk to our students about different faculties and programmes of the university.
A Tea Party was jointly organized by the English Club and the Western Cultures ClubA Tea Party was jointly organized by the English Club and the Western Cultures Club on 25 September 2015. The aim of the activity was to promote a rich English-speaking environment in the school and let students have a deeper understanding of western cultures. Students played interactive games and had a taste of traditional British tea and snacks. Students enjoyed the activity a lot!
House Meeting 2015/2016The 2015/16 House Meeting was successfully held on 7th September. The house teachers and members of the four houses: Heung, Yuen, Chung and Hok, attended the meeting.
S1 Careers Planning – “Discover Engineers Workshop”It was our pleasure to have representatives of the scheme of Learning through Engineering, Art and Design (LEAD) and IBM Limited to help organize the “Discover Engineers Workshop” for our S1 students on 17th September, 2015. The workshop aims to enrich their experience of learning and careers planning.
The Alumni Association expressed their support to teachers on Teachers’ DayThe Chairperson of the Alumni Association and the committee members visited the school on Teachers’ Day on 10 September 2015. They showed their support to teachers by sending them gifts and expressing their gratitude.

The New Territories Outstanding Students Selection 2015In spite of the intense competition among about 1,000 students from 7 districts in the New Territories, S.3 SHUM Ching Ki Jade has been selected as one of the top 10 Outstanding Students in the New Territories wing to her outstanding performance in acacemic, leadership, extra-curricular activities and voluntary work. S.3 WEN Xin Yu was also selected as the Outstanding Student in the New Territories Outstanding Students Selection 2015 organized by the Federation of the New Territories Youth and the Federation of Outstanding Students.
HKSAR Outstanding Students Selection 2015S5 Chan Yan Ki was selected as one of the ten outstanding students in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Outstanding Students Award 2015 after several rounds of interviews. The selection was jointly organized by JCI Yuen Long and the HKSAR Outstanding Students’ Union with the aim of encouraging secondary school students to utilize their potentials and strive to foster a balanced development among academic performance, extra-curricular activities, community services, leadership and self-awareness.
Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) 2015This year, Heung Chung students got excellent results with a total accumulation of 792 Level 4 or above, which is equal to 70.3% of the total number of subjects sat. In total, 88.9% of our students have met the general entrance requirements for local undergraduate university programmes.
